PILLOW PETS REBRAND
Throughout this project, we were tasked to rebrand a company that had lost relevance within its timeline. Our group chose PillowPets, inspired by their reign in the early to mid-2000s. We pulled in the catalog styling of the 80s and 90s editorial magazine, while maintaining the vibrance and playfulness the company already possessed.
I worked on the logo curation, branding kit, and moldboard, and helped shape the visual identity through art direction. I also produced the infomercial, which you can view below. When making the logo, I wanted to simplify the graininess of the original, while still incorporating their iconic cow mascot, reanimating him, and bringing him to life through a modern color scheme.
One of my favorite hidden gems is the use of a red dot within the “i” of pillow, paying homage to their most iconic pets with red noses. When working on this, we wanted to appeal to adults and bring back pillowpets for all. Introducing new customizations, better fabric, and special anniversary discounting.
