ADVT370: Advertising issues

For this project, a team of two others and I were prompted to create a campaign that included corporate responsibility and care for the consumer. Working as the creative director on my team, I came up with the idea of a REM. Beauty is donating to The Trevor Project to support the LGBTQ+ community. We knew the success of the Wicked movie starring Ariana Grande and her sold-out Wicked collab set would set the tone for our campaign, so we wanted to go big. By partnering with The Wizard of Oz (the prequel to Wicked as well), we were able to create the Dorothy Set.

Creating these ads and a well-rounded campaign was extremely rewarding and may be my favorite project. I led the art and visual direction, made the print and Instagram ads, the mockup set itself, and our presentation deck. My favorite thing about this campaign is the seamlessly integrated term "A Friend of Dorothy," referring to the code words of an undercover member of the LGBTQ+ in the fifties, something I felt was needed to add, given the film's time.
