BLACK + DECKER: CAPSTONE PROJECT
💡 Insight: 79.5% of survey respondents have or know someone affected by a natural disaster.
I stepped into the role of a Creative Director, developing the visual identity, slogan, and overall purpose behind this project. Inspired by the impact of Hurricane Helene, I aimed to address social and environmental issues through a timeless and culturally relevant idea. I introduced a solar panel tool kit, a relief and educational app, and a new color concept, Solar Blue, based on color psychology, all while designing print, social, OOH, and experiential ads. Natural disasters aren't going anywhere, so why not place Black + Decker at the forefront of its education, preparedness, and relief?
This project deepened my passion for art direction, design, and copywriting, teaching me to lead with both creativity and strategy. In the end, we pitched our idea to a Black + Decker representative, and it was a success!
